2. Data we collect
When you visit the site, your browser automatically transmits information (IP, user agent, referrer, requested URL, time) — this is processed only to deliver the page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in secure operation). Logs are deleted after 7 days. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, company, email and message in order to respond (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual). Submissions are stored in our MongoDB database and forwarded by email via Resend.
3. Cookies
We only set analytics cookies after you give consent via the banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent any time by clearing site data in your browser. Essential cookies for site functionality are always allowed.
4. Third-party processors
• Resend (Resend Inc., USA) — transactional email for the contact form, SCCs in place. • Metricool Software S.L. (Spain) — aggregated, pseudonymous web analytics (opt-in). • PostHog Inc. (USA) — product analytics and session insights (opt-in), SCCs in place. • Calendly LLC (USA) — booking widget. Loaded only when you click the BOOK A CALL button. • YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) — video embeds; data is processed by Google only when you click play. • Google Fonts & Fontshare — fonts served from external CDNs; your IP is transmitted to render the page. • MongoDB Atlas (USA) — database for storing contact form submissions, SCCs in place.
5. Hosting
The site is hosted on Emergent's infrastructure. The hosting provider processes data in connection with the operation of the website on our behalf.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). To exercise any right, email contact@wearehyenas.com.
7. Retention
Contact form submissions are kept for up to 24 months after our last correspondence, then deleted unless we are legally required to retain them longer (e.g. accounting law).
8. Changes
We may update this policy when our services or the legal landscape change. The current version is always available at /datenschutz.
